2010, Oil on panel, 36"w x 36"h
My paintings are an expression of the post-industrial urban landscape and the ways in which it shapes perception. Incongruent architectural shapes converge upon intersecting stairwells, alluding to the ways in which we negotiate both physical and virtual space. The concrete collides with the ephemeral to create puzzling juxtapositions that challenge viewers to discern the nature of our increasingly globalized identities.
