“Experiencing Perspectives” at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services
Art is a catalyst for change. At Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, we experience this change every day. We believe that in order to create a meaningful and inspirational work environment, contemporary art must play a role. It facilitates a dialogue that embodies fresh and dynamic ways of seeing, thinking, and working.
The Experiencing Perspectives art program encompasses annual art exhibitions, art tours, community conversations and other art events. The program celebrates several creative partnerships at Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. In 2001 we began our art program with Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Since then, we have displayed their graduate students’ art in our Americas Headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan. In 2008 we opened a new facility in Fort Worth, Texas. For this location we created a joint partnership with the renowned art schools of Southern Methodist University and Texas Christian University from which we display art of students, faculty, and alumni. Most recently, in 2009, we formed our newest art partnership with the Drawing and Painting Department of the OCAD University in Toronto, Ontario. Art from their students, faculty, and alumni is now on display in our Canadian Headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario.
This annual exhibition series continues to build connections between art and business in new ways each year. We hope the resulting experience for all involved will create new relationships, build on existing ones, and expand minds every day.
