Oil on paper, 2015, 11.5"w x 11.5"h (each)
This series serves as an investigation into the visual representation of loss and destruction as a necessary physical element of the work. The process included building up layers of paint then destroying them by various means: throwing the work off the roof of a three-story building, kicking the work in the dirt and rain and scrubbing it until the original paper showed through to create real loss within the work. Later, more paint was added and the process was repeated in a seemingly eternal cycle of creation and destruction.
