When a tree is cut down and then made into lumber, people see it only as an architectural material to construct their houses, not its essence of lifeness. So I want to evoke the life in a lifeless object found in stores. Carving half of the wooden block and making a curved surface on it, a kinetic wood object was formed. The wood grain vividly indicates a tree’s life. And when the two identical units are assembled together, the two surfaces form a curved line that is both natural and mysterious.
